Community Engagement Topic Support Network: Engaging External Communities

The Community Engagement Topic Support Network will be meeting on 30th January 2018 at The Glasgow School of Art.

The meeting will cover ways to engage external communities.

There will be contributions from:
 
  • Newdialogics project - John Thorne (GSA) - This project focuses on broadening engagement using art to account for climate change
  • Edinburgh Local Project - Sarah Anderson (The University of Edinburgh) - Edinburgh Local is a new scheme to showcase community engagement and seek to develop it. 
  • Community Garden project - Stewart Miller (University of Glasgow) - The focus for the garden is increasing biodiversity, beekeeping, sustainable food, learning how to grow your own, providing some food for Hospitality Services and getting individuals out at lunchtime to improve health and wellbeing.
  • Aberdeen Adapts: Engaging communities in Adaptation thinking through art - Gemma Lawrence (Creative Carbon Scotland) - This project aimed to explore the benefits of using creative activities to stimulate new discussions on climate change, reach out to new audiences and discover new skills.
