Next Steps for Adaptation in Universities and Colleges: Scoping Workshop

9th Nov 2017 09:30 – 13:00

Join Adaptation Scotland and EAUC-Scotland for a Scoping Workshop to explore what Scotland’s universities and colleges need to progress their adaptation work.

Attendees are expected to have an understanding of adaptation before attending as this is not a training event. Please view the Adaptation Webinar Series before attending if you have any doubts around this - find the links below. Participation in the workshop will require an understanding of the basic concepts and resources around adaptation covered in these webinars and/or the previous EAUC-S Adaptation workshop.

The workshop will explore where attendees are on their adaptation journeys, and identify the key climate-related opportunities and risks faced by universities and colleges. These will then be prioritised, allowing the group to come up with an action plan for the next steps needed to support adaptation progress within the sector.

A case study of adaptation at the University of Strathclyde will also be presented by the Sustainability Team, including a tour of some adaptation action integrated within a teaching and learning building.

Please share these event details with any colleagues who you believe would provide a useful perspective within this Scoping Workshop.

Please find the agenda available to download from the right side of this page.

 Adaptation Webinar Series Resources:
