Often consuming three to five times more energy per sq meter when compared to other buildings at universities, research laboratories are often overlooked in sustainability efforts due to the varied and specific natures of research.

Here we look at our efforts at the University of Edinburgh and how other institutions can begin to deal with this looming issue.
