The University of Manchester becomes a “Centre of Excellence” for recycling image #1

The University of Manchester takes its environmental responsibilities seriously. With 35000 students and 6000 academic staff working in 341 buildings generate significant amounts of waste, much of which went to land fill. The University set out to reduce this amount significantly, and thereby reduce its carbon footprint, by introducing “Bin the Bin” schemes to encourage reuse and recycling.
