Sebastian Blake, Sustainability Assistant, Oxford Brookes University, sent an email to the Educational Members' network asking for feedback on experiences of managing halls waste and communicating instructions to students, including international students.

"Until this year students in Halls at Oxford Brookes separated their waste but then the waste was collected by cleaners. However, this year we are moving to a system where it is the responsibility of the students to separate waste into 3 containers and then take them to the bins outside their hall. We are also trialing food waste collections at one hall."
