2nd Ecobuildings Conference in Stuttgart, Germany, 7-8 April 2008

7th Apr – 8th Apr 2008 00:00

The second Ecobuildings Conference will be organised by the 4 large EU-projects BRITA in PuBs (Bringing Retrofit Innovation to Application in Public Buildings), Demohouse, Eco-Culture and SARA in Stuttgart, Germany on the 7th and 8th April 2008. The programme has presentations and posters from the in total 24 demonstration projects, which comprises innovative renovation of public and private buildings (e.g. culture centres, library, nursery home, church!! and dwellings) and new interesting energy-efficient building projects, not only dwellings, but also larger individual projects: e.g.: the new Danish Royal Theatre in Copenhagen and Opera in Oslo. Besides the symposium will present other important project results, e.g.: barrier analysis, design guidelines and information tools, plus a round table with high profile policy makers.

City College Plymouth are involved in this demo building project. Its about looking at the reasons why energy saving measures aren't included in refurbishments, identifying the reasons why they should be and providing a series of actual examples where energy savings have been properly included.
