6th NUS and SOS-UK Sustainability Summit

4th Nov 2019 09:30 – 16:30

The Sustainability Summit is NUS and SOS-UK’s flagship event for students, SU officers and staff involved in student engagement around sustainability. This year they are taking the Summit to Sheffield, who fittingly have more trees per person than any other city in Europe(!)

The Summit offers workshops, talks and panel discussions with some of the UK’s top environmental activists and campaigners, from organisations including Friends of the Earth and the UK Parliamentary Engagement Team, as well as the students and students' unions leading the youth climate movement.

*Every year the summit sells out, and with the surge in the youth climate movement tickets are expected to go very quickly, so book now to avoid disappointment*

The full agenda is available on the registration page, but highlights include

The Summit is open to all students over the age of 16, as well as officers and staff from both the SU and college/university. Some institutions last year covered the cost of students and officers as a good will gesture, and to help upskill them for the year ahead

NUS and SOS-UK are once again holding the Student Eats Conference alongside the Summit, on Tuesday 5th Nov. If you’re interested in working towards a just and sustainable food system, through either growing, making, selling, buying or just eating food, go to both days and take advantage of a two-day discount rate.
