Based on the three main pillars: Education, Training, and Networking, the Network of Green Universities and Youth Education in Africa aims to promote the integration of environmental and sustainable development concerns into teaching, research, community engagement, university management, including the greening of institutional infrastructure, facilities, and activities, as well as to improve youth engagement and increase their support for sustainable development activities.
AGUYEN's main mission is to act as a sustainability leader for higher education and youth networks on the African continent and to promote the integration of sustainability elements into higher education institutions, while seeking to improve the sustainability mindsets and skills of future generations. Today the network brings together 20 universities from 7 African countries (Morocco, Tunisia, Mauritania, Senegal, Kenya, Comoros, Ivory Coast).
Today, the International Centre Hassan II for Environmental Training, in partnership with the United Nations Programme, organizes an informational webinar to introduce the Race to Zero Campaign and invite all the member universities sign the commitment letter to commit to the 1.5 model.
