Carbon Literacy for Universities Toolkit Launch - Online

4th Nov 2020 14:00 – 15:30

4th November will see the launch of shareable Carbon Literacy training kits for UK universities.

Universities know they have a large carbon footprint, but how well trained are your staff and students to tackle the Climate Emergency, reduce emissions in line with legislation, local targets and student interests?

Your environment specialists cannot tackle the climate crisis on their own...

Carbon Literacy for Universities is a days' worth of relevant action-based training, that empowers learners to play their full part in the transition to low carbon working. It is funded by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, and designed and tested by a working group of higher education professionals across the UK. It also enables your university to be a catalyst for further action across your sector and region, to unlock the multiple civic co-benefits of action, from cleaner air, to warmer homes to safer streets. As the UK accelerates its drive towards Zero Carbon, the boost to student employability is clear.
