Creating the Smart Grid: Investment and Implementation
Creating the Smart Grid: Investment and Implementation
20th Sep 2011 13:40
The Creation of the Smart Grids will be the key next step in the development of the UK’s energy infrastructure. Success will depend on a number of factors, including government incentives, the right regulatory environment, cooperation at all levels of the supply chain and the involvement of customers.
The Government has already taken a lead, with ambitious targets for the implementation of smart meters across the country and a new regulatory framework with the stated aim of placing the UK at the forefront of smart technology globally. It is now up to industry, and the market, to take the lead and make this a reality.
This unique one day event will look into the challenges of implementing the Smart Grid in the UK, and why it is so important that it succeeds. With contributions from across the sector, the day will bring together all the elements of the supply chain and encourage the networking and idea sharing that will be essential to achieving success.
