Data Centres: An Economic Boom or Environmental Bust for Ireland Environmental?

Data centres are the engines of the Cloud, providing the processing and storage capacity that drives the global e-commerce economy. Ireland has become a global player in the data centre industry with many multi-nationals locating their centres in Ireland. This talk will discuss the environmental and economic impact of these developments and the energy challenge in a carbon-neutral Ireland of the future.
