EAUC Members Networking Forum

Date to be confirmed

Recover, Reset & Reignite

Over the past year, we have faced some of the most challenging times imaginable, alongside this we continue to face a multitude of environmental, economic and socio-political challenges. We understand that being able to connect in real life has been missed, and so it’s time to get together and take some time to Recover, Reset and Reignite each other’s passion.

Unlike previous conferences this Networking forum recognises that we haven’t been able to network, share and learn from each other face to face for too long. This Forum will focus on that. We know that not all of you may be able or willing to attend but we feel a face to face opportunity is what many of us need. We will, of course, be following the Government’s guidance at all times regarding large gatherings.

These 2 days will allow us to re-group with a real focus on networking. Sessions will focus on building back better and revitalising us all to face the new opportunities and challenges.

To tie into the HE Climate Action Toolkit and the FE Climate Action Roadmap, we will focus on how we can impact on COP26 as part of the Climate Commission, what the next steps are for the sector to look at in terms of how can we change uncertainty and challenge into opportunity.

We will be bringing together the UK’s best university academics, leaders and professionals to address the Climate and Ecological Emergency.

Green recovery and climate action are vital, and can only happen with the help of thought-leadership from the education sector and by listening to and collaborating with students’ voice and colleagues in the wider sustainability sector. Together, we need to emerge stronger and more resilient to health and environmental crises.

AIMS
  • Bring support and care across our communities as we take time out to reflect and recover from this pandemic
  • Reset our goals and vision for the future
  • Reignite and inspire each other to assume our position at the forefront of climate action
We will be holding Virtual Global Climate 2021 in July and connecting to the UN High Level Political Forum, will be a one-day virtual conference, collaborating with the world’s best university and college students, academics, leaders and professionals to address the Climate and Ecological Emergency.
