Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship Seminar

The Development Education Research Centre (DERC) of the Institute of Education and the Centre for Cross Curricular Initiatives (CCCI) at London South Bank University would like to invite you to the first of two seminars planned in 2008 on education for sustainable development and global citizenship.
The first will be held on Tuesday February 19th from 2 to 4pm, preceded by sandwich lunch from 1.30pm at the offices of DERC, London International Development Centre, 36 Gordon Square, London WC1.

Professor Dave Hicks, Bath Spa University
Ann Finlayson, Education Commissioner, Sustainable Development Commission
The aims of the seminar series will be to explore the theory, policy and practice debates around the relationship between Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship.
This first seminar will look specifically at issues and debates in the UK, the relationship between the various disciplines and their connection to current issues such as climate change.
