Excellence in Education for Sustainable Development: sharing best practice to embed sustainability in curricula

Bournemouth University have run an Excellence in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Award for the past 6 years to share and reward best practice around embedding the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in university curricula.

This event is to celebrate some of the winners of the 2021 Awards and hear why they were recognised for their best practice in embedding the skills, values and knowledge of sustainability in their teaching of psychology, international relations and employability. As well as how they did it, they will share the challenges they faced as well as their top tips for other academics and teachers who are trying to embed sustainability.

At this session we will also hear how BU’s Sustainability Team, based in Estates, have promoted, led and embedded ESD across the university.
