Energy Efficiency Workshop for Public Sector Organisations

The Energy Efficiency Workshop for Public Sector Organisations will be hosted by Wiltshire Council in partnership with Salix Finance and will take place at Wiltshire Council in the Trowbridge County Hall on 24th September 2015 from 10am to 15.30pm.

This event will provide an opportunity to learn about the benefits of energy efficiency and the funding available for public sector energy efficiency projects. It will also offer a chance to share knowledge with other public sector energy managers.

Salix is a non-profit, government-funded company dedicated to providing the Public Sector with 100% interest free finance for energy efficiency projects. Salix has worked with an array of Public Sector Organisations to cut their energy bills and reduce their carbon footprint, providing more than £375 million in funding for over 13,000 projects, achieving lifetime savings of £1.4 billion and 7,422,659 tonnes of CO2.

The workshop will cover a number of topics, including:

  • A presentation from Wiltshire Council on their work on carbon and energy reduction
  • How to apply for Salix funding and how loans are repaid
  • Specialist advice for different types of Public Sector Bodies
  • Wiltshire Council showcase their projects funded by Salix
  • Networking and knowledge sharing
  • Test driving electric cars and a Tour of County Hall
  • Presentations from contractors selected by Wiltshire Council

The event is free to attend and refreshments will be provided. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements. A detailed agenda and transport information will be circulated to confirmed attendees.
