Energy Games and Apps: Tools For Engagement, Learning and Wellbeing?

This half-day workshop will explore how games, apps and gamification can be used to increase awareness and learning about energy use as well as ideal indoor conditions for comfort and health.

The event will include:

Emerging findings from the EPSRC BuildTEDDI project 'Smarter Households' and posters from a range of related research projects

Themed breakout groups discussing the development of energy feedback applications, and learning from long term monitoring datasets

Guest speaker: Dr Ian Dunwell, Serious Games Institute

Reflections on designing and trialling the Smarter Households energy game

Games and gamified apps on hand to try

The event begins at 12.30pm with lunch and refreshments.

Attendees are encouraged to bring along any contributions to the day (posters, research findings, ideas) but these are not compulsory.

The workshop is free to attend but places are limited so registration is essential
