Ethical and Environmental (E&E) Officer Training is an opportunity for student officers, students and Students’ Union staff to learn more about E&E campaigns and programmes available through NUS and NUS Services. There is also an opportunity to learn more about how to get involved in national and international campaigns.

We have an exciting range of guest speakers from a wide range of campaigning organisations, including some new additions to the programme.

Morning sessions: Environmental

• An introduction to NUS and NUS Services’ environmental campaigns and programmes – Susan Nash, NUS and Jamie Agombar, NUS Services

• People & Planet Go Green campaign – Andrew Taylor, People & Planet

• Stop Climate Chaos: how students can make The Wave! – Lucy Pearce, Stop Climate Chaos Coalition

Afternoon sessions: Ethical

• A guide to ethical procurement – Catherine Dishington, NUS Services

• Toxic Fuels: stop tar sands expansion now – Colin Baines, The Co-operative Group

• The Prince’s Rainforest Project – Lucy Dunkerley, The Prince’s Rainforest Project

• Playfair at the Olympics – Ben Moxham, Trades Union Congress
