Fairtrade Fortnight: Fairtrade, the climate crisis and engagement

26th Feb 2021 15:00 – 16:00

For two weeks each year at the end of February and start of March, thousands of individuals, companies and groups across the UK come together to share the stories of the people who grow our food and drinks. mine our gold and who grow the cotton in our clothes, people who are often exploited and underpaid.

For Fairtrade Fortnight 2021, the theme of ‘Climate, Fairtrade and You’ highlights the growing challenges that climate change brings to farmers and workers in the communities Fairtrade works with.

Join Nilufar Verjee, Director of Public Engagement at Fairtrade Foundation, who will present to us on the interconnectedness of climate change, Covid-19 and Fairtrade, plus give us some top tips on how to engage others in these complicated, global challenges.
