HEFCW Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship (ESDGC) Conference

HEFCW is hosting a free conference on ESDGC to inform the future activities and priorities of HEFCW and the Assembly. We also wish to:

• Share the outcomes of SQW Consulting’s good practice report, the Higher Education Academy’s curriculum audit report, and progress to date on environmental management systems;
• Debate the issues arising from the projects and draw conclusions about the future implementation of the ESDGC agenda in Wales, and the role of institutions in sustainable development and global citizenship;
• Reflect on the barriers to implementation and how they may be overcome.

The event will be of particular interest to:
• Senior Management
• Staff engaged in the planning of learning, teaching or curricula
• Estates representatives,
• Welsh Assembly Government Officials
• The ESDGC community of practice

The event will include a keynote presentation by Peter Davies, Vice Chair of the Sustainable Development Commission, and representative for Wales.
