Nourish Conference
28th Sep – 29th Sep 2012 10:37
For all those involved in Food Quality / Food Security / Local Food and Food for Life initiatives:
Book for Nourish Conference at:
www.nourishscotland.org.uk/.
There's an exciting line-up of speakers booked in. As well as Anya Hultberg from Copenhagen talking about changing the culture of public food, we've got Liz Dowler from Warwick University on food and fairness, and Chris Birt from University of Liverpool on farming for public health.
Wilma Finlay's back from Cream O'Galloway to tell us about their high welfare green dairy project. Then there's Mike Small from Fife Diet, Jo Hunt on local food economies and Wendy Seel on the research agenda for sustainable food.
And Richard Lochhead, Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and the Environment has confirmed he's speaking at the conference.
We need a good idea of numbers for catering, as we have to go out to local farmers and source the food. The catering team at the University have come up with a great seasonal menu.
To book, just click on the big E on the Nourish home page and follow the links.
There are still a small number of hardship places available for individuals.
