Practical Consequences of and Solutions to Climate Change

Climate Change is most definitely on the agenda following last December's UN dire warning that global warming could reach 1.5 degrees C increase over pre industrialisation temperatures by 2030. That's just 11 years from now – it really is time to act.
 

This conference will consider: 

• What are the consequences of climate change – what are the implications for business , what are the threats? What are the opportunities? & How will it impact on our daily lives and quality of life?

 
We will look at examples of activity already taking place in the public and private sector and hear from the West Midlands Combined Authority on their commitment to action. With support and interest in the event already gathering momentum, our programme of specialist subject speakers plus representatives of key business sectors is well under development. They will tell us how they expect +1.5 degrees will affect us all – and how they are taking action now.
