Raising the bar to deliver sustainable civil engineering - how high should it go?

23rd Jun 2011 09:44

Following the recent publication of a number of high profile initiatives and report launches, including the national infrastructure plan by Infrastructure UK, there is increased attention on civil engineering, public realm and landscaping works, and given the context of the current climate the importance of continual improvement in the environmental and social performance is key.

Attendees will receive an update of the development of CEEQUAL and its continuing use in raising the bar of environmental and social performance in civil engineering and the public realm and landscaping.

Practical examples will then be presented from contrasting projects at the Olympic Park and in Southwest England that have overcome practical landscaping challenges through innovative solutions.

This event will ideal for sustainability professionals, including contractors, specifiers, suppliers, consultants and clients with an interest in civil engineering and public realm works.
