Second Intentional Communities Symposium
Second Intentional Communities Symposium
16th Jun 2016 00:00
The
Intentional Communities Research and Enterprise group will be hosting their second symposium entitled ‘ Intentional Communities – Living the Good Life’ on the theme of sustainability and low impact living. The morning will consist of presentations from academics Professor Jenny Pickerill, Professor Dave Mullins and Dr Keith Halfacree. The afternoon will include a series of themed workshops around creating community and conclude with a panel discussion around housing, finance and community led initiative.
The full range of speakers is yet to be confirmed, but we hope to have a range of participants including specialists in eco-developments, funding options, planning, and affordable housing.
The symposium will be held on Thursday 16th June at the SWALEC stadium (previously the Glamorgan Cricket Club) in Cardiff. The stadium is easily accessible from the city centre and about a 20 minute walk from the main train and bus stations. There is limited free on-site parking and Sophia gardens pay and display car park is a short walk away.
There will be a nominal charge of £27.00 per head which includes all refreshments and a buffet lunch.
We hope that you will be able to join us, for what should be an exciting day and the opportunity to renew old acquaintances and make new contacts. To make a booking, please click
