Student Sustainability Summit 2021

The Sustainability Summit is SOS-UK and NUS's flagship sustainability event for students, officers and staff from across the movement.

Returning for its 8th year, the Student Sustainability Summit brings people passionate about sustainability together for workshops, talks and panel discussions with some of the UK’s top environmental and social justice activists from youth campaigns, students' unions and national environmental organisations leading the climate movement across the UK.

The Summit will provide you with the opportunity to connect with others in the student climate movement, collectively think about and discuss youth climate action post COP26, the pandemic, and Brexit, and develop practical skills and knowledge in community organising, campaign planning, liberation and sustainability, and so much more.

For the second time the Summit is being held online over 2 days and is merging with the Student Eats Conference. Sessions will run from 10am-5pm each day. Each ticket provides access for one individual to attend both days for just £25!

• The finance system, inequality and the climate crisis and what we can do with Invest for Change.
• Anxiety to Agency Classroom with Force of Nature.
• Student and staff solidarity in campaigning for decarbonisation and decolonisation with UCU. 
• Climate action zine making with the Glasgow Zine Library. 
• College and university land use in a climate and nature emergency with SOS-UK and Lancaster University.
• The relationship between sustainability and sport with Football for Future.
• How students can campaign for the Green New Deal with Green New Deal Rising.
• Fossil Free Careers with People & Planet.

The Summit is open to all students over the age of 16, as well as officers and staff from both the SU and college/university. Some SUs are sending their Environmental Committees.
