Students for Sustainability: The power of student led nature and environment social action to build a sustainable future
This webinar will look at the importance of providing students with the opportunity to build a sense of agency through climate social action. Stephen Frampton (SS4FE) will host a panel of Chris Broadbent, Lucy Supperstone (
Leadership Skills Foundation), an Environment Leaders Programme student graduate from Barnsley College and course leader from Heart of Yorkshire College Group to explore the importance of nature and environment social action.
Bringing delivery case studies to life through
Planet Earth Games and the Environment Leaders Programme the panel will share the benefits of student led nature and environment social action to the college/university, the student and the wider community. Attendees will be able to see for themselves how using students personal passions for nature and environment can create an active student body that has an increased awareness of their role as well as the essential skills to act on the climate crisis at a local, national and in the future global level.
