Sustainable Event Management Conference
23rd Sep 2009 00:00
Live events and festivals have their own unique environmental challenges to tackle, including international transportation and intense energy usage, on-site noise and environmental pollution, as well as site impact issues.
The event-going public is increasingly aware of these issues and has growing expectations of event organisers to ‘go green’. Recent research shows that 80% of festival-goers expect organisers to do more to make their events sustainable.
The increasing focus on environmental and green issues will be discussed at a conference entitled, Sustainable Event Management, on 23 September as part of Security Week, a brand new series of four security related conferences organised by Bucks New University from 21 – 25 September 2009 at Missenden Abbey Conference Centre in Buckinghamshire.
A 20% discount on all prices quoted for all EAUC members. To book, the delegate should just cross out the £175 and replace with £140, marked EAUC member.
