Further Details:
The focus is a reflection on a whole institutional approach to ESD in the curriculum and in particular the role of students, the community and campus in driving change. The workshop will give examples combining formal and informal learning and ‘earn as you learn’ opportunities.
We will share some of the methods adopted by the University of Worcester, particularly focussing on development of a cross-institution multi-disciplinary sustainability elective at level 4 and 5. The workshop will bring together academics and students from a range of disciplines to discuss good practice, a public-facing website and VLE which will be used as a portal linking curriculum, campus and community, and support funds for embedding sustainability in different disciplines.
In an interactive session you will leave with an action plan for what you might want to do next at your own institution.
