Trade Union Climate Conference and student workshop

The conference will be held under the title “For a Future that Doesn’t Cost the Earth: The International Fight for Climate Jobs”. It will be the launch conference for the new, updated edition of our “One Million Climate Jobs” booklet and an important organising event for a series of mobilisations leading up to the 2015 COP talks in Paris.

For that reason the conference will be in two parts: “The International Fight for Climate Jobs” with speakers from USA, Norway, southern Africa and Britain, and “Time to Act on Climate Change”, which will include links to British and American trade unionists on the New York “People’s Climate March”. There will also be workshops, including one on "Students, Environment and Climate Jobs" intended specifically for students and teachers .
