to make a difference through education and learning.

The UNU RCE Severn is delighted to invite you to a free event, led by Prof Geoff Scott, which will bring together international research on successful leadership and implementation of change in higher education.

Prof Geoff Scott is Executive Director of Sustainability and Professor of Higher Education at the University of Western Sydney (UWS). Prior to this role he was Pro Vice-Chancellor (Quality) and Provost at UWS. Professor Scott is an internationally recognised expert in the area of leadership and quality improvement in education. He has led and studied major change and leadership programs in schools, post-secondary and higher education within Australia and in a range of overseas countries. His latest book on this work with Canada’s Michael Fullan is Turnaround Leadership for Higher Education (Jossey Bass, San Francisco).

Prof Geoff Scott will present and discuss the ambitious Turnaround Leadership for Sustainability Project which seeks to (i) define the capabilities which make an effective higher education leader for sustainability; and, (ii) produce resources to develop and enhance these leadership capabilities in the area of Education for Sustainability (ESD).
