EAUC is supporting the 2021 ENACTUS UK National Expo

9th March 2021

On the 12th – 14th April, 65 Enactus teams from across the UK will participate in the Enactus UK National Expo, which will be held virtually.

Enactus believe that investing in students who take entrepreneurial action for others creates a better world for us all. Enactus develops university students into leaders who use business to solve community challenges, creating sustainable improvements in the lives of the people their projects serve, and in turn, the lives of the students themselves.

The teams of university students come together to showcase their social impact efforts and compete based on the quality of their entrepreneurial projects that provide an innovative, sustainable impact in their community. One team will be awarded the title of Enactus UK National Champion and will advance to Enactus World Cup which will be held virtually from the 14th  to 21st October 2021.

At EAUC, we have been supporting Enactus UK for many years to develop their projects to provide expertise and helping students to develop skills they will need in their future careers.

Amy Brereton, COO Enactus UK shares what she is excited about for this year’s event:

“It won’t be long before we celebrate the success of all the hard work of our young future responsible leaders supported by corporate and academic partners to utilise the power of collaboration to meet challenges in our society. This year our university teams from 65 locations across the UK have pivoted projects and targeted the delivery of real impact in new and challenging areas in their localities, despite challenges we have seen in the world. I am excited to hear of their success and see the wider impact of their ambition on other future young responsible leaders. We also look forward to welcoming our six new competing teams to their first competition. All of this is only possible with the support of our alumni, academic volunteers and our corporate partners.”

From April-July, Enactus will host National Events in 37 countries. These dynamic, energetic events bring together student, academic and business leaders from the Enactus network for an opportunity to engage, collaborate and learn from one another.

Last year, Enactus students around the world dedicated more than 7.3 million service hours creating and implementing over 3,800 projects that directly improved more than 1.3 million lives. These experiences not only transform the lives of the people the projects serve, but also help the students develop the kind of talent and perspective essential to leadership that sees challenges facing people and planet as opportunities to improve the world.
