Free Assessment Day for ISO 14001 or ISO 50001 to Celebrate UKAS Accreditations

6th August 2014

Lucideon, the management systems certification and sustainability assurance provider and Gold EAUC Company Member, is pleased to announce that it has been granted by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) an extension to its ISO 14001 accreditation to now include EA codes 32 & 34.

ISO 14001 is the internationally recognised standard for environmental management. EA 32 & EA 34 covers the activities of Estates and Facilities Management and Engineering services, typically maintenance of properties including Public and Private sectors including universities.

Lucideon have also recently achieved UKAS accreditation for their ISO 50001 service. This energy management standard provides a framework and guidance for monitoring, managing and potentially reducing energy consumption.  In identifying energy sources and their usage, it also helps organisations to limit future risk, define alternative sources and potentially reduce their carbon footprint.

Tim Watts, Operations Manager, Assurance, at Lucideon, says: “We can now provide clients who carry out these activities with an accredited certification, which brings all the advantages of certification, provided by an accredited certification body.

“Colleges and universities who achieve ISO 14001 and/or ISO 50001 and comply with UKAS standards can use the Lucideon UKAS assurance marks to help boost the publicity of their sustainable practices."

In celebration of their new accreditations Lucideon are pleased to offer EAUC Members 1 free day of Auditing for the Stage 1 assessment for ISO 14001 or ISO 50001 certification*. For further details contact ann-marie.cornall@lucideon.com.
