Green Academy – Education for Sustainable Development call for proposals

3rd October 2012

The HEA is currently inviting institutional teams to submit proposals to join the Green Academy change programme for 2012-13.

Higher education institutions are under increasing pressure to address the challenge of embedding sustainable development in the curriculum: employers are demanding sustainability-literate graduates, students are demanding future-proof skills, and the UK Government’s vision for a new ‘green economy’ presents both challenges and opportunities for HEIs.

Building on the highly successful first Green Academy change programme and drawing on a range of evidence and sector-leading expertise, this new Green Academy programme will support change at an institutional level, enabling HEIs to embed sustainable development in the overall student experience in more strategic and holistic ways.

The programme is open to 10 institutional teams from across the UK. The call for proposals closes at 5pm on Tuesday 27 November 2012.
