LiFE Launched in Australasia

22nd February 2012

The EAUC is delighted to announce that LiFE, Learning in Future Environments, has now been launched in Australasia.

Established in partnership with the EAUC’s sister organisation, Australasian Campuses Towards Sustainability or ACTS, Australasia has become the first set of countries outside of the UK to launch the LiFE programme. The decision to roll out LiFE in Australasia follows a sector consultation that has taken place there over the last six months.

LiFE is a comprehensive performance improvement system developed and delivered by the EAUC specifically to help colleges and universities manage, measure, improve and promote their social responsibility and sustainability performance. The system reflects not only the very specific nature of the Further and Higher Education sector but also the uniqueness of each institution, their context and their individual approaches to sustainability and social responsibility.

Unlike other accreditation systems – LiFE gives institutions an instinctive and easy to use performance management system that helps them directly improve and promote their activities – and allows universities and colleges to learn from, and share, best practice with one another.

LiFE in Australasia has hit the ground running with a number of institutions already signed up and a huge display of interest in the webinars and events that accompany it.

Back in here, the EAUC is particularly excited that the launch of LiFE in Australasia will also benefit users at home by helping the UK sector collectively promote their activity alongside international institutions.
