Revolving Green Fund 2016/17 - Now Accepting Applications for Funding

14th December 2016

Salix are pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for Revolving Green Fund 16/17. The funding is available for over 120 energy-efficiency technologies and is repaid through the savings made on energy bills.

If you would like to apply, please download an application here. Projects will be assessed and funding allocated based on value for money both in terms of financial payback on funding requested and estimated carbon savings.

Once a form is completed, this should be submitted alongside supporting information through the application page on our website. If you have any questions or require assistance, please do not hesitate to get in touch with a member of the HEI team who will be happy to help over the phone or arrange a meeting.

Key dates for this round:
- Applications open - December 2016
- Close of initial round - 10th February 2017
- Assessments complete and funding awarded by 31st March 2017
- Projects complete - 31st December 2017

For projects completing after 31st December 2017, Salix can arrange a long-term, multiple year funding approach to be agreed through a reservation of funding. Please get in touch with the HEI team to explore this further.

Salix will assess applications as they are received, so early submissions are encouraged to allow the maximum possible time for any follow up discussions on your projects.

Salix will also be launching an additional round of applications, following the current round, which will be open through to August 2017. HEIs who intend to apply for this additional round are encouraged to register their interest by submitting an ‘Expression of Interest’ form.

Notes
The name ‘Revolving Green Fund’ is being used by agreement with HEFCE.
Salix provides interest-free capital for the public sector to reduce their energy costs by enabling the installation of modern, energy efficient technologies and replacing dated, inefficient technologies. It has worked with over 100 Higher Education Institutes and supported over 4,000 projects since 2006. HEIs have utilised over £130 million of funding for energy-efficiency projects, estimated to save more than £36.3 million and 185,000 tonnes of carbon each year. With this new round of funding, Salix will continue to enable this work to be undertaken at HEIs.
