The session focuses on the systemic approach to embedding sustainability taken by the University of Wales Trinity Saint David UWTSD), winner of last year's Guardian Award for Sustainability.

The UWTSD University Group includes two FE colleges, so the approach is relevant in HE and FE. The University started from a very low base and hopes its learning process is replicable. The core elements of transformation include the business case to win governor support,establishment of a Sustainability Directorate, Students Charter commitments, a staff sustainability skills survey and faculty plans to introduce 15 minimum sustainability content into all university experience.
