Keith Thomason, Sustainability Manager at the University of St Andrews, shared the University's Net Zero Carbon by 2035 plan at the EAUC-Scotland Forum Meeting on 2nd June 2021. The plan is widely regarded to be one of the most thoroughly consider and ambitious released by an institution within the UK further and higher education sector to date.

The Net Zero Carbon target is part of a wider Net Zero Impact target which the University has committed to: "This means net zero impact on the planet, encompassing emissions as well as stopping other forms of environmental degradation. No more greenhouse gases than we remove from the environment will be emitted."  You can find out more about this on the University's website.
