A Presentation from Day 2 of the 17th EAUC Annual Conference 2013

Topics covered:

This session will provide a forum for further education (FE) delegates to share their questions and experiences of incentives/barriers and collectively identify potential solutions using knowledge within the room and using electronic resources such as the Sustainability Exchange/SORTED websites.

With discussions around the unique strengths and challenges of implementing sustainable development within FE, and examples of experiences within two colleges including the sharing of regional examples through the Learning and Skills Improvement Service’s Regional Sustainability Adviser work, the session will also highlight the opportunities that are available by forging the link between estates functions and academic areas - using the campus as a “living lesson”.

Speakers:

Georgiana Weatherill, Sustainability Manager, Leeds City College and Helen Cutts, Health, Safety and Environment Manager, Wigan and Leigh College.
