Embedding sustainable development into the FE curriculum

Through the Stepping Up in Sustainability (SuS) and Cut the Carbon (CCF) programmes, LSIS provided grants to support 27 projects aimed to develop, embed and disseminate effective approaches to sustainable development and carbon reduction.

March 2011 saw the completion of all 27 projects. Each of the projects developed a case study and, in many cases, resources and tools, which can now be shared across the sector for other providers to access, adopt, adapt and learn from, free of charge.

Bedford Colleges project Embedding Sustainable Development into the FE Curriculum provided some very useful resources, including games such as the Cheese Trumps game for Engineering learners and the Hex game as well as Crossowords.
