Following on from the plenary focusing on Greater Manchester’s Carbon Target this session focused on what universities and colleges have done in response to the Climate Emergency campaigns.

Given the developments around Climate Emergency some institutions have put themselves forward and are at the forefront of making Climate Emergency declarations. This session covered how Newcastle University got leadership approval to make the declaration, how the University of Lincoln responded to student voices, and why Nottingham Trent University is looking at and debating the strategy and commitment behind making a declaration.

This session was part of Influence, the EAUC’s 2019 Annual Conference. All resources from the day can be found here.
