EAUC-Scotland's virtual 'Promoting Sustainable Behaviours Sharing Series' April edition discussed Student End of Term Waste. We have produced a best practice document from the knowledge exchanged during this session. It is available to download from the bar at the right of this page.

Thank you to teams from The University of Manchester and Cosy Students for being our lead contributors in the session. Please find links to The University of Manchester's cross-city network project, Give It Don't Bin it, and Cosy Students repurposing project at the right of this page. Nottingham Trent University also ran a Big Clear Out campaign until 2015, with report documents available, the link for this is also available.

The concise and accessible Best Practice document touches on:

  • Initiatives
  • Volunteers
  • Specific items guidance
  • Engaging Students

The Sharing Series is an informal online sharing opportunity, where people working within further and higher education are invited to meet through our webinar software to share their experiences and questions on specific behavioural topics connected to sustainability. We aim to produce a 'Best Practice' document following each session to document and share the learning.

We will be covering a range of topics over the year varying from Healthy Working Lives to Staff Business Travel. The sessions takes place on the first Wednesday of every month from 11-12. The full schedule and all Best Practice Guides from previous sessions are available here.
