Buro Happold's Sustainability team have worked on a number of University refurbishment projects, each presenting their own unique set of challenges and opportunities. This session will give an overview of the different approaches to retrofitting these buildings, covering the importance of user engagement, building performance evaluation, environmental rating systems vs. bespoke sustainability frameworks, as well as embodiedand operational carbon assessments.
