We wanted to get some useful tops tips from each of our 2015 EAUC Annual Conference sponsors that will be your first port of call for energy and carbon management, creating inspirational learning spaces, recycling strategy and so on.

Here are the tips from Interface:

  1. To integrate sustainability across the higher and further education built environment spectrum through the selection of suppliers which share a view that sustainability should be standard
  2. Attract and inspire a new generation of students through the creation of flexible, stimulating and sustainable environments to encourage for example, collaboration or quiet concentration. Incorporating biophilic design principles can also improve the wellbeing of students and staff through reduction in stress and increased productivity
  3. BIM has transformed the way we plan and design buildings and will become mandatory for the procurement of all government buildings by 2016. Understanding how to use BIM objects which combine performance, time, scheduling, acoustics and fire rating amongst many other parameters will become increasingly important going forward
