How is sustainability structured at your university?

Victoria Johnsen, Environmental & Cultural Change Manager, University of Surrey emailed the Members’ network asking,

“We are trying to make the case here for a central sustainability team (as in, not based in Estates) but I’m struggling to find many examples of where this has been done – clearly it’s still a bit of a radical idea!

I would be really grateful if anyone could respond to me directly with info on how sustainability is structured at your university, if it sits outside the estates department, and how many people are in your sustainability team. If you have an org chart you could share then even better!

Apologies if this has been done before, I have searched the resource bank with no luck so far… If I receive useful responses I will happily share these.”

Our thanks to those who responded and to Victoria for collating the responses.
