How to set up an environmental champion network

The presentations delivered at the conference 'How to set up an Environmental Champion Network' held at the University of the West of England (UWE) in November 2011 were a rich source of insight to develop, manage, grow and sustain effective environmental champion networks in institutions.

Denise Shearman (University of Reading) focused on securing senior management buy in and strategy development. Tom Yearley (University of Reading) outlined how to effectively recruit environmental champions. Jo Kemp (NUS Services Ltd) looked at how to grow, support and empower environmental champion networks. And Daniel O'Connor (University of Newcastle) focused on the importance of environmental champion networks, and on the use of social media to support them.
