The University of Glasgow have been using Warp It to reuse and recycle items in their institute. Initially the university used Warp It for their internal process before rolling it out more widely. They set up a marketplace with 4 other universities, a council and a hospital in order to re-use items where possible and avoid waste.

They worked heavily on the engagement front to produce resources and make people more aware of the reuse options available to them rather than simply throwing things away. The university also focused on working with local not for profit organisations which resulted in a really positive impact on the community.

As a result of Warp It the University of Glasgow has saved over £600,000 and now has good quality data that can be used to build the business case for sustainability.
