Paul Thomas, Sustainability Officer, University of Gloucestershire asked the EAUC Educational Members' Network about green champions networks:

“A question on staff and student engagement if possible. I am looking at setting up a small grant or bursary scheme to be paid to students who act as green champions – running sustainability events and activities throughout the year. Has anyone implemented a similar scheme? If so I‟d love to hear any feedback or advice you may have.

Additionally has anyone got a well established staff green / sustainability champions scheme up and running? Likewise, any advice would be appreciated – how to get staff to volunteer for the role, any particularly successful campaigns run etc.”
