This exchange session exhibited stakeholder driven approaches to defining key health, wellbeing and social sustainability metrics. It outlined approaches for translating these into robust decision-making processes that value quantitative and qualitative indicators to assess the performance of design options. Drawing on work in other sectors to define social metrics including health, well-being and productivity the Exchange considered how this can be tailored to the education sector. Delegates gained an understanding of approaches to the definition and evaluation of metrics that can be used to assess capital assets and improve the overall strategic aims of universities.
