On 11 September 2017 EAUC-Scotland and Sustainable Scotland Network (SSN) hosted a webinar to cover the 'Wider Influence' section of Public Bodies Climate Change Duties (PBCCD) Reporting.

The PBCCD Reports took over the reporting mechanism of the Universities and Colleges Climate Change Commitment for Scotland (UCCCfS) which helped give an insight into the work that the Scottish Further and Higher Education system was doing to reduce carbon. A key part of the UCCCfS reports was the narrative that allowed institutions to explain more about their projects outwith the energy saving and carbon reduction work. The 'Wider Influence' section of the PBCCD Reports is the appropriate space to report on this now, with so many institutions being involved in work engaging with staff, students, the local community, or embedding sustainability into the curriculum, to name a few examples.

The session consisted of a run through of each question in the 'Wider Influence' section outlining what is relevant to report within this, and also answering any questions from the attendees.
