Description:

The NUS Students' Green Fund was launched in April 2013, offering students' unions a share of £5m to lead on large-scale sustainability projects in partnership with their parent institutions. Three students' unions - University of Exeter Students' Guild, University of Southampton Students' Union, and Wigan and Leigh College Students' Union - will talk about their successful projects: highlights, challenges, and what they have learnt so far. Clearly there is huge demand for student leadership on sustainability, and this workshop will give an insight into how students and staff have worked together on the funded projects.

Speakers:

Emily Thompson-Bell, Students' Green Fund Programme Manager, National Union of Students; Norrie Blackeby, Students' Green Unit Manager, University of Exeter Students' Guild; Teresa Kennard, Sustainability Manager, Southampton University Students' Union and Christina Donovan, Students' Union Coordinator, Wigan and Leigh College
