Surveying your waste – what types, how much, and where from

Full details of the composition and generation rates of waste obtained from a survey are useful, as they can help in the identification of all wastes. This can include potential types and volumes for recycling, as well as identifying wastes that were previously unknown in that waste stream. For example, it is not uncommon for small amounts of special/hazardous wastes to end up in the household waste stream, thereby exposing you to greater disposal costs or, at worst, prosecution.
